Stan Parris

Senior Pastor

Previously the Senior Pastor of Vansant Baptist Church for more than 12 years, Dr. Stan Parris has been the Senior Pastor of Franklin Heights Church since 2008. A native of Waynesville, North Carolina, he earned a BA degree from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Pastor Stan and his wife, Susan, are proud parents to sons, Briggs and Glenn.

Bobby Young

Executive Pastor/Rocky Mount Campus Pastor

Bobby and his wife, Mary have been attending Franklin Heights since 2006. A native of Penhook, Bobby was called by the Church in September 2013 to serve on the Ministry Staff. In addition to serving as Campus Pastor of the Rocky Mount campus, Bobby oversees the areas of Discipleship, Senior Adults, and Men’s Ministry at Franklin Heights. He and Mary have six children—Madison, Kennedy, Justin, Kaleb, Kaiden, and Karleigh. Bobby loves helping people grow in their faith and get connected with the body of Christ at FHC.

His life verse from the Bible is Romans 12:1-2. “After presenting all God has done for us in the first 11 chapters of Romans, isn’t this a reasonable way to respond?” he asks. “As such, I want to give God all of my life.”

Caleb Walker

Pastor of Missions and Discipleship

Caleb has served in chaplaincy, pastoral, and parachurch roles for the past 12 years. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he earned his B.A. at Bob Jones University and Masters and Doctorate degrees at Liberty University. His heart is for every church member to be serving and loving one another in the context of connect groups and reaching the world through missions for God’s glory. Caleb and his wife, Christina, are thankful to raise their two children at FHC.

Justin Beville

Student & Young Adult Pastor | Rocky Mount

In November 2022, Justin Beville was called to be the Pastor of Students and Singles at Franklin Heights Church. Justin is married to his wife Amanda and they have three boys, Luke, Tucker, and Turner. He grew up in Powhatan, Virginia and has served in various churches throughout Virginia. Justin attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Bachelor’s in Christian Studies with a minor in Student Ministry and his Master’s in Divinity. Justin enjoys connecting students and their families to Christ.

Timmy Williamson

Pastor of Praise & Worship/Pastor of Senior Adults

In October 2021, Timmy Williamson was called to be Pastor of Praise & Worship at Franklin Heights Church. He is a Virginia native, having grown up in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Timmy attended Liberty University where he earned a B.S. in Music and Worship and B.A. in Theatre Arts. While serving as Director of Communication for the Liberty University School of Music, he completed his M.A. in Music and Worship. He loves producing services, concerts, and other musical events.
Timmy is thankful to be joining a great team at FHC and looks forward to all that God will do! Romans 10:9

Dee White

Office Manager & Communications Director

A native of Franklin County, Dee joined the staff in 2015 and serves as Office Manager and Communications Director. She earned a B.Ed. in English Education from Liberty University and an M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies at Wheaton College. She enjoys serving as the pianist in the Praise & Worship Ministry at the Rocky Mount Campus.

Dee and her husband, Ernie, live in Boones Mill and are blessed to be the parents of their daughter, Julia.

Deke Andrews

Campus Pastor | CrossPointe

Deke Andrews came to serve as the Interim Campus Pastor at CrossPointe in June 2018 and assumed the full time time duties of Campus Pastor in March 2019. He had been serving as the Connect Group Coordinator at CrossPointe since June 2017. He previously served as the Head of School at Christian Heritage Academy in Rocky Mount.

Deke and his wife, Boo, live on Smith Mountain Lake where they have had a varied and active ministry over the past 20 years. They have seven children, Betty Ashton, Deacon, Braydon, Britton, Jackson, Jordon, Jiewon and twelve grandchildren. They have been attending CrossPointe Church since its doors opened.

Taylor Richardson

Next Generation Pastor/CrossPointe

A native of Franklin County, VA, Taylor previously pastored the students at Halesford Baptist Church for 6 years before coming to Franklin Heights in June 2022. Taylor is an alumnus of Cornerstone Bible College and Seminary where he received his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees in theological studies and religious education.  He married the love of his life Hailey Richardson on September 22, 2018 and she has been faithfully serving by his side ever since. Taylor serves as the Next Generation Pastor at the CrossPointe Campus, overseeing KidzPointe and Students. He has a passion for sharing the gospel and seeing students grow in their faith.

His favorite verse of scripture is John 8:36 “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Taylor loves spending time with students and enjoys reading and coffee.

Ben Vestal

Worship Leader - CrossPointe Campus

Ben has been the Worship Leader at the CrossPointe Campus since 2020. Currently living in Lynchburg, VA, he and his wife, Meghan, are in the process of adopting a child from India. Ben earned a BS degree in Religion from Liberty University. He loves to create unifying, God-honoring worship environments that encourage and inspire. His life verse is James 4:7. “Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Mark Long

Union Hall Campus Pastor/Pastor of Ministries

A native of North Carolina, Mark graduated from Wake Forest University in 1983 and Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1986. He has also earned credits toward a MA in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Mark’s rich ministry background includes 22 years of service at First Baptist Church, Charlottesville, VA, where he most recently served as Senior Associate Pastor. He also worked in the areas of discipleship, assimilation, and family ministry, as well as evangelism, preaching, and mentoring. In addition to serving as Campus Pastor at the Union Hall campus, he will also lead in the area of local ministries, including Love Franklin County, for all campuses. He loves to disciple and equip believers in order to engage them in mission opportunities both locally and internationally. Throughout his ministry Mark has held fast to the promise found in Proverbs 3:5-6.

Mark and his wife Nancy have four adult children; Katie (and husband, Cale), Daniel, Luke, and Courtney. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys time on the lake with family and friends.
