Funeral Policy
The death of a loved one is a difficult experience. And during times of sorrow, it is our desire to minister to families in their time of need. The following policy is meant to help families plan a Christian funeral, one that comforts the grieving and worships Jesus Christ.
- Funerals are scheduled based on availability and family preferences.
- Franklin Heights Church (FHC) pastoral staff conduct funeral services held at FHC. Any requests for another pastor to officiate or assist in the service must be approved by the senior pastor.
- Because funeral services are an act of worship – celebrating the deceased’s life and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ – all portions of the service are to be consistent with present worship practices of FHC.
- Fees may be required for the services of pianists, musicians, sound technicians, custodial support, etc.
- All music used in the service must be appropriate for a Christian service and must be approved by FHC Staff. Any music, videos or photographs to be used in the service must be submitted at least 2 days prior to the service. Contact the worship pastor regarding approved file formats.
- Families are welcome to video funeral service. FHC is unable to provide this service.
