It’s important to be connected. We understand that at Franklin Heights Church and we want to help you connect with others so you can build lifelong friendships. Community makes life better. It also reminds us that we can’t do life alone.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
You’ll find authentic community in our Connect Groups; a place where you’ll find love and acceptance as you strive to become more like Jesus.
Connect Groups FAQ
What are Connect Groups?
Connect Groups are about more than just showing up for Bible study—they’re about living the Christian life in community. Connect Groups share life, food, and common interests. They care about each other, and pray for one another. They laugh together, and cry together. In other words—they become a family! Connect Groups can be organized around friendships, shared interests, or even serving teams. Are you interested in hosting or leading a Connect Group? Where do Connect Groups meet?
Many FHC Connect Groups meet on the Rocky Mount Campus each Sunday morning before the 11:00 am worship service and study a curriculum series. Others are available at different times during the week and meet on different campuses, or in homes.
How often do Connect Groups meet?
While many Connect Groups meet each Sunday before worship, Connect Groups can also meet on different days at various times throughout the week. Most Connect Groups meet weekly, but some may meet every other week, or once a month.
What will my Connect Group do?
The answer to this question will vary because it depends on the kind of Connect Group you choose. Connect Groups can meet in homes, restaurants, or coffee shops to study the Bible or themed-studies. Some may even get together to enjoy a shared interest or sport, enjoying those activities along with their studies.
Is child care provided?
Connect Groups that meet before worship or during other regularly scheduled church activities offer childcare. Some Connect Groups, however, may share the responsibility of watching the kids, split the cost for a sitter, make other arrangements, or choose not to offer a childcare option.
