If you’ve been around Franklin Heights Church for any length of time, you already know that missions is an integral part of who we are. That’s because our church was begun as a mission effort. We’re committed to an Acts 1:8 strategy—we believe that God has called and purposed us to reach our communities, our county, our nation, and our world, and we won’t settle for anything less!

With many local opportunities offered to serve and engage our church and community, as well as national and international efforts that impact and affect our world, we encourage you to step out in faith and be on mission with God!

Loving North America

Each year our church provides mission opportunities with a variety of focuses here in Virginia, as well as across the United States and her territories. Prayerfully consider taking a step of faith to share the Good News at one of these locations. ASHLAND, KENTUCKY
FAMILIES CAN SERVE TOGETHER AT OUR APPALACHIA SEND RELIEF CENTER

Age:14+
Dates: Sunday, April 12-Friday, April, 17, 2026
Description: Make a meaningful difference by serving homeless and low-income individuals, serving meals, addressing immediate needs while offering comfort, sorting and distributing essential items, bringing dignity and relief and having 3 Circle gospel conversations. Additionally, you may participate in hands-on projects in the community or at our ministry facilities, ensuring the remain welcoming and functional spaces for those seeking assistance. This will be a great mission trip for whole families.
Cost: $350 + extra expenses TBD
Transportation: Personally owned family vehicle

BRUNSWICK, MAINE
SERVING ALONGSIDE MIKE AND ANGELA BALOS AT MAINE STREET CHURCH

Age:18+
Dates: Friday, July 24-Friday, July 31, 2026
Description: Our team will work with Maine Street Church members on evangelistic outreach and/or a beautification project of the facilities. Based on team member skill sets and spiritual gifting, a collaborative training will be conducted to assist the long-term efforts of Main Street and FHC members to reach our communities through 3 Circle gospel conversations.
Cost: Approximately $1,400

Loving the World

A short-term mission trip will not only challenge your faith, it will change how you view culture and the world. COMERÍO, PUERTO RICO
SERVING ALONGSIDE CHURCH PLANTERS JORGÉ AND REBECA SANTIAGO

Age: 15+ 
Dates: Friday, June 19-Friday, June 26, 2026
Description: Our team will conduct a Vacation Bible School in the greater Comerio and Cidra communities alongside the members of One Church Comerio to support the process of planting another church in Cidra and engage in 3 Circle gospel conversations.
Cost: Approximately $1,800

LONDON, ENGLAND
FOR: NEW WAY YOUNG ADULTS SERVING ALONGSIDE OUR FHC CHURCH PLANTERS

Age: 18-35

Description: Our New Way Young Adults will conduct prayer walks throughout the Kingston neighborhood on the Thames, pass our worship gathering invitations, literature, and engage in 3 Circle gospel conversations to support the ongoing church planting work.

ARAD, ROMANIA
SERVING ALONGSIDE ADMIN AND FIONA BOCSA AT HARVEST CHURCH

Age: 18+
Dates: Friday, July 24-Saturday, August 1
Description: Our team will share in the preaching and teaching, workshops, team competitions, sports tournaments, planning and leading large group games, helping lead worship, 3 Circle gospel conversations and discipleship, providing prayer support, and equipment setup and teardown. FHC members will have the opportunity to sponsor Ukrainian and Romanian children for this camp, as well.
Cost: Approximately $1,850

STUDENT SENT CAMP

Age: Students 6th-12th Grade

Description: Student SENT Camp will take place at Franklin Heights Church Rocky Mount Campus and students will experience missions, various activities, powerful worship experiences, Biblical teaching and learn to share their faith using the 3 Circle gospel conversation method.
