Stan Parris

Previously the Senior Pastor of Vansant Baptist Church for more than 12 years, Dr. Stan Parris has been the Senior Pastor of Franklin Heights Church since 2008. A native of Waynesville, North Carolina, he earned a BA degree from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Pastor Stan and his wife, Susan, are proud parents to sons, Briggs and Glenn.

Bobby Young

Bobby and his wife, Mary have been attending Franklin Heights since 2006. A native of Penhook, Bobby was called by the Church in September 2013 to serve on the Ministry Staff. In addition to serving as Campus Pastor of the Rocky Mount campus, Bobby oversees the areas of Discipleship, Senior Adults, and Men’s Ministry at Franklin Heights. He and Mary have six children—Madison, Kennedy, Justin, Kaleb, Kaiden, and Karleigh. Bobby loves helping people grow in their faith and get connected with the body of Christ at FHC.

His life verse from the Bible is Romans 12:1-2. “After presenting all God has done for us in the first 11 chapters of Romans, isn’t this a reasonable way to respond?” he asks. “As such, I want to give God all of my life.”

Justin Beville

In November 2022, Justin Beville was called to be the Pastor of Students and Singles at Franklin Heights Church. Justin is married to his wife Amanda and they have three boys, Luke, Tucker, and Turner. He grew up in Powhatan, Virginia and has served in various churches throughout Virginia. Justin attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received his Bachelor’s in Christian Studies with a minor in Student Ministry and his Master’s in Divinity. Justin enjoys connecting students and their families to Christ.

Deke Andrews

Deke Andrews came to serve as the Interim Campus Pastor at CrossPointe in June 2018 and assumed the full time time duties of Campus Pastor in March 2019. He had been serving as the Connect Group Coordinator at CrossPointe since June 2017. He previously served as the Head of School at Christian Heritage Academy in Rocky Mount.

Deke and his wife, Boo, live on Smith Mountain Lake where they have had a varied and active ministry over the past 20 years. They have seven children, Betty Ashton, Deacon, Braydon, Britton, Jackson, Jordon, Jiewon and twelve grandchildren. They have been attending CrossPointe Church since its doors opened.

Mark Long

A native of North Carolina, Mark graduated from Wake Forest University in 1983 and Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1986. He has also earned credits toward a MA in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Mark’s rich ministry background includes 22 years of service at First Baptist Church, Charlottesville, VA, where he most recently served as Senior Associate Pastor. He also worked in the areas of discipleship, assimilation, and family ministry, as well as evangelism, preaching, and mentoring. In addition to serving as Campus Pastor at the Union Hall campus, he will also lead in the area of local ministries, including Love Franklin County, for all campuses. He loves to disciple and equip believers in order to engage them in mission opportunities both locally and internationally. Throughout his ministry Mark has held fast to the promise found in Proverbs 3:5-6.

Mark and his wife Nancy have four adult children; Katie (and husband, Cale), Daniel, Luke, and Courtney. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys time on the lake with family and friends.
